One of my all time favourite albums, Timeless had a real effect on me as a youngster. This is the opening track and is a true innercity anthem. The video is great too, from a time when the music video was considered more than just a 4 minute advert.

Big Trouble in Little China

The other night, me and a friend arrived at our usual 'after gig' Chinese restaurent when we noticed a guy in a nearby alleyway with blood all over his face being talked to by police. Being a Friday night in the heart of the West-End, we thought little of it and stepped into the restaurant.

On our way up the stairs though, we noticed smears of blood on the walls as if someone had been dragged out...

About half way through my Won-Ton soup and I look up to see 3 police officers snooping around and asking questions. We, by now, had realised that the guy outside had obviously picked up his injuries inside the restaurant...

On our way out, we realise that the restaurant has been cleared of customers and the employees are all seated downstairs being interrogated by a group of police officers (see above pic)...

As we leave, two of the waiters were marched out of the door and into a police van...

Crazyness...

Now, I don't know what happened in there, but I have never had or seen any trouble in there before and I am on good terms with a lot of the people who work there - it's a friendly place! The only times that I see things I don't like, is when drunk fools come in and start getting mouthy.

My guess is, that is what happened.

Things like this annoy me because it is an example of the good guys losing out to ignorant people, and even ending up in a cell for what? Protecting your business, self-defence?

What a load of BS. Society's view can be so narrow sometimes...

It's a Hardknock Wife!!!

Made it to the semi-finals of the DJ battle at last Wednesday's Hardknock Wife. Played some sick tunes and had some great support from the crowd. Shouts to the Kashmir Ladies!!! I was knocked out, on the toss of a coin, by Urban Nerds after an epic battle of selection that was near impossible to call either way. All good tho...

Produced by Large Professor, Nas' debut single has to be the second installment of T'nT. His much talked about new LP will be out soon and with all the hype surrounding that release, I think it's worth remembering why Nas has been in most peoples top three mcs list for over a decade.
